Highlights
All of the existing concrete topping, pavers, plants, planters, fountains, tree wells, stairs, etc. were removed from the deck to expose the existing structural concrete.
Biggest Challenge
Project required constant communication with ownership as this is in highly trafficked mixed use multi-story complex in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
Project Details
Removal of topping slab, slopping slab, structural expansion joints and failed waterproofing. Install of fire rated expansion joints and 215 mil of hot rubberized asphalt waterproofing. Topping slab was replaced using high density extruded foam covered with reinforced concrete topping slab.
