The entire Rainbow team is thrilled about job # 10,000!
What do the St. Francis Hotel, Marin County Civic Center, and Transamerica Pyramid, buildings all have in common?
It may not be what you think! Other than these buildings being remarkable and clearly recognizable landmarks in the Bay area, each one has also been restored in one way or another by Rainbow Waterproofing and Restoration’s team of craftsmen.
These commercial and historical sites are not just buildings to Rainbow and the community. They are part of the very fabric that makes up our history, the present, and the future.
Rainbow has been busy for the past two decades as the premier specialty contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our unique line of services from epoxy injection, concrete restoration, joint sealants, waterproof coatings, and historic restoration allows us many opportunities to protect and repair our clients valued properties.
We continue to strive to be the best and with our recently opened 10,000th job, we are excited about our future in the waterproofing and restoration business.
10,000 Job Milestone Project
What began in Lugana, Switzerland as a painting shop known as “Arcabalena,” attended by a young Swiss-Italian apprentice painter named Rene Canonica, Rainbow has transformed into a widely known, award-winning waterproofing and restoration company in the Bay area.
From our roots, we’ve kept humbly in check that no job is too small. That’s why it’s so ironic that Rainbow’s 10,000th job milestone is a small investigation and leak repair project in San Francisco. The project is nevertheless very special to the company just like any other job!
“We like to say no job is too small and being able to identify a building’s water intrusion issues and providing a viable solution is how we gain the trust of our customers,” Rob Browne, Rainbow Vice President shared.
Striving for Excellence
Rainbow strives for excellence in all of its historical preservation, restoration and waterproofing services—and the awards over the years speak for themselves:
- Rainbow gained a California Preservation Award for Sather Tower, UC Berkeley, Napa’s Goodman Library, and most recently the Rehabilitation of the historic Gordon Building in Downtown Napa.
- The company was presented as well with the SWR Institute Trinity Award Recognition for Outstanding Collaborative Partnership for our work on the Marin County Civic Center.
- Rainbow has also been recognized as one of the 100 fastest-growing private companies by the San Francisco Business Times for multiple years in a row.
These accolades were achieved as a result of the innovative thinking of Rainbow’s entire team; from field apprentices to project foreman; operations leaders, office staff, and project managers to every member of the Rainbow team.
View of the Past, Present, and Future
When considering the Rainbow journey, early jobs, how far Rainbow has come, and what is next for our community, clients, and team, Rainbow agrees:
“We are proud of our achievements! We see familiar faces daily who have worked for Rainbow for 2 + decades, and our experience is unprecedented in our local industry. We have multiple generations working with us, and we feel so grateful to be invested in the future 10,000 jobs and beyond!”
Rainbow says that several factors drive the organization as a team including the culture, friendships, family relationships, and a common bond and drive for excellence.
“Our approach exemplifies teamwork – both within our organization and as part of a construction project team,” Rob stated.
As a leading waterproofing and restoration company, Rainbow believes in ensuring a high level of professionalism and expertise in every single job. From masonry and facade restoration to waterproofing membranes, concrete repairs, and exterior painting, each and every project is important to the organization and our future.
